Siesta Key vacation rentals

Siesta Key is known for one thing above all: its sand. Siesta Beach is almost pure quartz, so fine and white that it stays cool underfoot on a summer afternoon. The beach is wide and the water shelves gently, which makes it a favorite with families, and it gets busy on weekends and through the winter.

The island reaches the mainland by two bridges, Siesta Drive at the north end and Stickney Point Road farther south. Siesta Key Village, near the north end, has restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance of a lot of the rentals. Farther south you will find Crescent Beach, the snorkeling rocks at Point of Rocks, and quieter Turtle Beach.

    Siesta Key rental questions

Is it better to stay in Siesta Key Village or farther south?

Stay near the Village if you want to walk to dinner and to Siesta Beach. Stay farther south, around Crescent Beach and Turtle Beach, if you want a quieter stretch of sand. Ask the owner how far the walk is to the nearest public beach access.
