St. Pete & Clearwater beach rentals, straight from the owner
Pinellas County is a peninsula with water on three sides: the Gulf of Mexico to the west, Tampa Bay to the east and south. A chain of barrier islands runs down the Gulf side, tied together by Gulf Boulevard, so you can drive from Clearwater Beach to Pass-a-Grille without leaving the beach towns. Behind the islands sit St. Petersburg, Clearwater and the older Gulf coast towns of Dunedin and Tarpon Springs.
Every rental on this page holds an active Florida vacation rental license, and we start each listing from that public record. Owners who claim their listing add their own photos, rates and a booking link, so you can book a Gulf-front condo or a bungalow near the bay with the person who owns it, not through a platform that takes a cut of every night.

St. Pete & Clearwater vacation rental questions
Are these rentals licensed?
Yes. Florida requires a vacation rental license from the Department of Business and Professional Regulation for any home or condo rented more than three times a year for stays shorter than 30 days. Every listing here comes from an active license in that state record. Some Pinellas beach cities also have their own rental rules, so ask the owner what applies to their property.
Why book direct instead of through Airbnb or VRBO?
Airbnb now charges most hosts a host-only fee of about 15.5% of the booking, and it is built into the nightly price you see. Book with the owner and that cut stays out of the deal. You also get answers from the person who knows the unit: which floor it is on, how far the walk to the sand is, and whether the parking fits a truck.
Should I stay in Clearwater Beach or St. Pete Beach?
Clearwater Beach is the busier, walkable resort strip around Pier 60 with the closest drive to Tampa International. St. Pete Beach and Treasure Island to the south have wide beaches, Pass-a-Grille and John's Pass, and quick access to Fort De Soto Park and downtown St. Petersburg. Indian Rocks Beach in the middle is the quieter pick, and both ends are a short drive away.
How do I book a place without a booking button?
Send an availability request from the listing. We pass it to the owner using the contact on their state license, and they reply to you directly. Listings with a "Book direct" button go straight to the owner's own booking page.
