Santa Rosa Beach & West 30A vacation rentals
County Road 30A loops off US-98 and runs close to the Gulf through a chain of small beach communities, most of which share the Santa Rosa Beach mailing address. The west half is Dune Allen, Blue Mountain Beach, Grayton Beach, WaterColor, Seaside and Seagrove. Building heights stay low here, so the skyline is cottages and beach houses instead of towers, and the paved Timpoochee Trail lets you bike between towns.
Seaside is the pastel planned town that helped start the New Urbanism movement, with a central green and shops and food stands facing the beach. Grayton Beach is the opposite: sandy streets, old cottages and a state park with Western Lake, one of the coastal dune lakes this part of Florida is known for. Rentals range from one-bedroom carriage houses to big family homes a short walk from a beach access.
