Orlando proper covers a lot of ground. International Drive is the tourist strip, lined with restaurants, attractions and the Orange County Convention Center, and it sits between Universal Orlando to the north and SeaWorld to the south. Lake Buena Vista, on the southwest side along I-4 and SR 535, borders Walt Disney World and Disney Springs. Downtown is a different city altogether, with Lake Eola Park, its fountain and swan boats at the center of the high-rises.

Rentals near I-Drive and Lake Buena Vista are mostly condos and townhomes in resort-style complexes, good for couples and smaller families who want to be close to everything without a long drive. Closer to downtown and the older lake neighborhoods you find single-family homes, which suit conventions, visiting family and trips built around Orlando itself rather than the parks.
