Lower Keys vacation rentals
Between Key West and the Seven Mile Bridge, the Lower Keys trade nightlife for mangroves, quiet canals and backcountry water. Big Pine Key is the largest island here and home to the National Key Deer Refuge, where the small, endangered Key deer wander through neighborhoods and along the roadside. Drive slowly, especially after dark, and never feed them.
Most rentals are canal homes on Big Pine, Little Torch, Ramrod, Summerland, Cudjoe, Sugarloaf and Big Coppitt, many with a dock out back. Bahia Honda State Park, with some of the best beaches in the Keys, sits at the north end, and Looe Key reef is a short boat ride offshore. Key West is close enough for dinner and back.

the Lower Keys rental questions
Can I bring a boat to a Lower Keys rental?
Many canal homes here have a dock, and some have a boat lift, but depth, size limits and trailer parking vary by property. Ask the owner before you book, and ask about the tide too: some canals get shallow at low water.
